Cheating and Etiquette Articles

No one likes a cheater when they are playing a game. Even fewer people like a cheater when they are playing poker for real money. Not only is cheating a complete and total violation of all poker etiquette, it could also land you in some hot water. Depending upon the game and limits, a cheat might end up with a whole lot more than they bargained for. With this in mind, and because it is only the right way to play, you should steer clear of any cheating whatsoever when playing poker.

Etiquette and common courtesy in the poker room tends to be well adhered to by the majority of live poker players. There are still those groups of people who insist on causing problems in the poker room, though. While tipping and proper table talk are not set in stone rules, they will make the game more pleasant for everyone involved. Treat others how you would like to be treated and the odds are that you will do just fine in most any game that you play in.
